On second thought, Avenue A Mini Market not reopening

At the end of August, Avenue A Mini Market near 10th Street abruptly closed ... a few days later, someone there put up a sign saying that they'd reopen after some "reconstruction."

In any event, the business is for sale now...

  2. I've love to know what the hell is happening with the corner of 14th & A. When was that fire, around two years ago? Yet still no construction, nothing, even though there were rumors that the Stuy Town grocery was returning and also that NYU had bought the space (which would be TERRIBLE).

  3. Here is a universal truth--every time a store says "closed for renovation," they don't re-open. Sidewalk is the only exception to this rule I can think of in recent times.

As for 14th & A - does anybody know who owns that property? The signs on the scaffolding only list the construction company.
