yeah I miss Christines too! I had forgotten about that one. I really miss Lillians, I think it was on 4th and A. Used to eat there all the time in the 80's I moved away and then years later brought my son with me to find it...gone.

I don't get it. This place has nothing to do with the original Veselka. It just looks yet more gastrobar bullshit.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, James. So annoying. And what is with the Last Supper communal table? I'm not sittin' next to none of these mothafuckas.
ReplyDeleteThey can call this place Veselka, but that doesn't make it Vesleka. What is this place??? yuck!
ReplyDeleteI never got the original Veselka? Maybe its just not my type of food, but I always found it kind of gross.
ReplyDeleteIm not in any rush to try this new one, but I just dont understand the worship of the old one...
I did see a huge tranny party there one night, that was kind of interesting.
It will be packed. Just like the IHOP. But with a totally different crowd. I still mourn for Christine’s.
ReplyDeleteSHAME all the SNOWBIRD CRUSTY'S have started to leave they would be most welcome here

ReplyDeleteI'll give it a chance....of course it will be different from the original Veselka; that was intentional.
ReplyDeleteAlthough - I don't understand the posh cafeteria table. That will make the place extremely noisy.
