First look at PermaBase, opening soon on Third Avenue

Ha. Just kidding about the PermaBase. Old construction joke.

It's actually going to be a Japanese restaurant called Kotobuki here on Third Avenue near 10th Street... and we're sure their food won't taste like cement board...

  1. Funny...my employees sometimes used to receive shipments and mark items in the receiving record as "fragile glass" or "this side up"

  2. I noticed this sign last week and became very excited when I read "Kotobuki". Probably a little over excited. When I lived in Cobble Hill Brooklyn there was a fantastic sushi place with the same name. Is this the same restaurant just opening a new location in the East Village?? I hope so!
