Today's sign of the apocalypse
Spotted on East Houston near Chrystie Street. New reality show called "Jersey Couture." Filmed around here on the weekends?

Your remarks and lively debates are welcome, whether supportive or critical of the views herein. Your articulate, well-informed remarks that are relevant to an article are welcome.
However, commentary that is intended to "flame" or attack, that contains violence, racist comments and potential libel will not be published. Facts are helpful.
If you'd like to make personal attacks and libelous claims against people and businesses, then you may do so on your own social media accounts. Also, comments predicting when a new business will close ("I give it six weeks") will not be approved.
Nimbys vs. Noobies. Fuck the East Village. There is a whole world out there beyond this narrow-minded and insular neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteThe "whole world out there" is getting dumber thanks to shows like this.
ReplyDeleteanon@1:37. If that's how you feel, why are you reading a blog about it?
ReplyDeleteAnon 1:37, I don't even know what you are trying to say. I live in the EV but grew up in dirty Jersey, and if you think this shitty "Couture" show represents the state in any way, and therefore should be defended, you are mistaken. There aren't any shows about, say, The Saint and the Salvation Army in Asbury Park, or all the music nerds in Hoboken, it's always trashy acrylic nails and "Joisy." Do you know what I would give for a reality show about the Princeton Record Exchange? I am rambling, but seriously: What is your point?
