Heeeere's your First Avenue Starbucks...

EV Grieve contributor jdx was walking by the incoming Starbucks on First Avenue at East Third Street last night right when the workers pulled down the brown paper from the windows... revealing a familiar-looking layout...

Any bets on whether the Starbucks brass will continue to allow the Monk Thrift Shop to keep the sandwich board propped up against the building?

  1. Oh, that sandwich board is so gone. I mean Starbucks has a brand to protect, how on earth could a coffeehouse be associated with a thrift store. I mean can you think of two more diametrically opposed notions

  2. I'm shocked that Monk's sign wasn't whisked away immediately. It won't last long!

  3. @Marty And I'm shocked the Monk store is still there! I wouldn't put it past Starbucks to call the EPA and claim the dust is hazardous to their $9 Ventis!
