How was this dog stolen? I hope it wasn't left unattended outside a store while the owner went in. I've been seeing a lot of this on Second Avenue lately and it's infuriating. The other night someone tied up their small dog outside Met and went in to do their grocery shopping. The dog had enough lead that it could walk into the store through the automatic door. An employee did something to the door so it stayed open until the dog was retrieved. Yesterday another person left their large dog outside Starbucks, using the public garbage can as a weight to hold the leash. It was the stupidest thing I've ever seen.

I hope these people find their dog and that it wasn't left outside to fend for itself.

  3. Don't leave your dog outside unattended while you run into bodega, eat dinner, grab cash from an ATM. You wouldn't do it with a child. Plenty of fucking pricks who will snatch them up in a moment. Heartbreaking.

  8. There are dogs left unattended outside Associated Market on 14th and 1st all the time, while the owners are inside shopping. I've never understood such stupidity.

  9. Mona Lisa has since been found... she was found in Un Sq, held by a guy who was selling arts and crafts. He claimed he bought it off a homeless guy who took it from the W Vill...she was "bought back" for $100
