On Friday, we reported that a six-story building housing two residences was in the works for 327 E. Ninth St., currently a parking lot between First Avenue and Second Avenue...
Yesterday, a tipster passed along the renderings for the new building to Curbed...
The new building will feature a garage and elevator, among other amenities...
Thoughts?

East Ninth Street parking lot will yield to 6-floor residential building
Cant car-ownership obsessed wealthy New Yorkers rent a space at a metro North station, and spare a Manhattan neighborhood a blank garage door on the sidewalk, a curb cut, and more traffic?
ReplyDeleteSince the existing property use is a (rather ugly) parking lot, this seems like an improvement. Hopefully the construction isn't too bothersome.
ReplyDeleteMark my words! There is NO WAY that building is going to look like that! Get ready for yet another tasteless, boring cube.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful rendering. Glad to see new architecture that isn't awful and that matches the aesthetic of the neighborhood.
