[Updated] Reader report: Fares Deli reopening on Avenue A
Last month, the State seized Fares Deli on Avenue A near St. Mark's Place for "non payment of taxes."

I saw Tony this morning - he also confirmed that Fares is reopening.

ReplyDeleteI didn't directly ask him whether he is still running the joint, but I've spoken to him a few times since Fares closed, and he maintains that there was just a "misunderstanding" concerning taxes that would blow over soon - so I think it's likely he's still in charge
