  1. that last picture tells all - how the skwrlz get away!

    i have seen smaller hawks hunt squirrels by hovering at the trunk of a tree, trying to catch the squirrel as it moves along the trunk. invariably, the skwirul goes to the other side from the hawk and then gets away.

    great pics, both 'o ya!

  3. I would like to congratulate that squirrel for successfully evading the hawk. That was a close encounter, and a less dexterous squirrel wouldn't have made it out alive.
