East Village warming centers

Someone just asked about warming centers in the East Village... here are two... you have a few hours left before they close for the night....

• JOHN PAUL II FRIENDSHIP CENTER
103 E 7TH ST. 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

• SIROVICH SENIOR CENTER
331 E 12TH ST. 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Find the citywide list here.

  1. I dropped by SIROVICH last night before 8pm to drop off some extra heatpacks I had after the black-out. The woman behind the desk wasn't aware they were a "warming center", but figured it was possible given they are a "cooling center" in the summer. It didn't seem like anyone was there, but it was a pretty far walk from Avenue C in the snow. She said they were always happy to take donations.
