This is what the southwest corner of Avenue A and St. Mark's Place looked like on Nov. 27, 2012

This year, we'll post photos like this of various buildings, streetscenes, etc., to capture them as they looked at this time and place... The photos may not be the most telling now, but they likely will be one day...

  1. I went into that Sushi place once, maybe six years ago (?), walked out after one minute due to the smell of old old old fish.

  2. Long live the Sushi Lounge! Stuffing my face with ridiculous amounts of sushi for a grand total of $30 is pretty awesome. Especially now that Natori is gone, this is probably the best place for cheap sushi and booze in the neighborhood.
And as a bonus I've never even gotten sick eating there!

  3. I've eaten there twice a week for the last five years. It's good stuff, I just avoid the tuna, which isn't very good. And they're under new ownership now, so the service is sort of sucky, but, yea, long live the sushi lounge.
