Never in my entire life, and I've been there since the 1950 to 1997, have I seen St Marks as deserted and empty as in your Gem Spa photo. The inhabitants have destroyed life, how pathetic. That's something to be proud of?
ReplyDeleteHi Mick. The Gem Spa photo was taken two days after Hurricane Sandy... probably not the best day to get a feel of what the street life is like...
ReplyDeleteThe Bro's at IHOP FTW!
ReplyDeleteSays everything that ever need be said about our neighborhood 2012.
I was just saying to my husband it's like they've turned East 14th into everywhere else for the NYU kids, with just a bit of quirk to give it a cool factor for the.
ReplyDeleteLoved all of these photos, but my favorite is the one of Ray eyeballing the dancer's legs! Happy 2013, I hope it's a great year for all of us!
ReplyDeleteWow, what a year. Thanks for reminding me of some of the more humorous moments.
ReplyDeleteOf these I like EVG's Nov. 1 shot. This is ironic to say but to me it's quite a vivid image. It really takes me back. That's how I felt. The nights were so dark.
ReplyDeletethanks very much for posting these. it was good to remember what we all shared this year.
ReplyDeleteMiss BR, once you've had your phone charged, call/sms/tweet me.
