Noted

Per a commenter last night on More about last week's 17-building deal:

So much for the new management. Residents of 167 and 165 Avenue A came home from work tonight only to find the electronic key system not working so they were locked out of their buildings. Tenants were standing in front in the freezing cold. No one answers the phone at the management office and calls to the super yielded "there is nothing I can do - I will call the management office to send someone tomorrow." Residents took matters into their own hands and someone was able to get inside the building [through] the roof and let other residents in.

  1. Residents on East 11th and East 12 street are reporting the same issue with the front-doors, but also are reporting no heat and no hot water. Calls to the super and management are not being answered. Guess Mr. Ivanka Trump is too important to worry about his tenants freezing their a**es off.

  2. A couple of residents managed to get through and were told by the super he would arrive by 8 am to deal with the situation. Residents are now:
    "Waiting for the Super."

  4. You are not alone in the cold. I live in one of the September Kushner property acquisitions and we have not had heat or hot water for three days. No response from management.
Also, don't get too excited about the "portal" it is only as good as what it produces, which is also nothing. Automated response and no follow through.
Called super and he said, "oh, I don't work there anymore" (since Sunday, maybe????).
Meet the new boss, same as the old boss (only this one is a hell of a lot richer).
    Good luck.

  5. So far the problem seems to be the super who "left his phone home" today, didnt show up for his multiple 8am appointments, and could care less about people locked out of their house. Also his vm is in Spanish, which is great if you speak Spanish. I had a friend call to translate and his outbound message said "the message box is full."

Our heat was turned back on by the afternoon, so sorry for the people who can't get it fixed.
