  2. Don't worry Goggla, Hawks need to swoop down on their prey and snatch/kill them by surprise. I'm sure these two had a standoff until the squirrel scurried up the tree to safety.

  3. i have seen a small hawk chase a squirrel around the trunk of a tree. the rodent got away. :-(
