Tough day for critters in Tompkins Square Park
First, there was the squirrel who either wanted to play. Or just be a pain in the ass.
The squirrel had to make a quick getaway. The hawk was in no mood.
But a rat wasn't so fortunate.
And, for the rest of the afternoon, the critters kept a low-profile...

i've seen many squirrels mess with the hawks. a few of us watched 2 of them chase one out of a tree near ave B the other day.

ReplyDeleteI guess this shows that squirrels are not just rats with bushy tails: squirrels are much smarter, or at least better at eluding hawks!
