Citi Bike docking station 'just around the corner' is now apparently an amenity in the East Village



There's a new listing for an apartment over on East Fifth Street and Avenue B... Here's the copy:

Wing Two Bedroom apartment located at 543 East 5th Street in the haert [sic] of the East Village.

Apartment features two bedrooms, separate kitchen and tile bath. Locatde [sic] steps to all the great bars, restaurants and shopping of this great neighborhood. Citi Bike station just around the corner.

True, the docking station is around the corner on East Sixth Street and Avenue B — on the other side of the street from Sunny & Annie's. However, given that the East Village has 23 docking stations, it seems as if many apartments have one right around the corner. Is this a feature worth mentioning?

    in the east east village it's an amenity, closer to the subway line it's a nuisance.

    it's an amenity for the self-entitled, like the ones who holds private parties at TSP.

    It is to the people who put "bars" at the top of their list when deciding what neighbrohood (misspelling intentional) to live in.

    I think it's worth mentioning. They're selling the apartment and to some, having the bikeshare nearby could be a positive thing. It certainly isn't a negative; it's not blocking the entrance to the apartment... Maybe it's neutral to others who aren't into bike riding.

    what it also says to potential buyers/renters is NO Street Parking here. good luck. So if you commute anywhere via automobile, yet another tax on you because you'll either have to house your vehicle or spend hours looking for a space. bravo self appointed bike nazis.

      Who commutes by car in this neighborhood? Like 1/100? 1 car parking space fits like 10 bikes. Seems smart/ fair to me

    Under your mind baffling logic, the slight decrease in free public parking for cars due to bikeshare is now a tax on car owners ?!? Good luck with that theory.

    And refering to someone who advocates bikeshare as a "nazi" makes you sound completely ridiculous and ignorant.
