Finally, in case you wondered what a party for the tech set at the Russian & Turkish Baths on East 10th Street looked like. Photos from this event have been making the rounds, so... ValleyWag said that the party "fell just short of Stefon-level absurdity. There was, however, enough wood paneling and strung out girls in bikinis to remake that Fiona Apple video."

  1. thank you for posting about the volunteer opportunities. Now that I have my apartment I can and do make dinner for friends, but before this I had trouble finding places for once-a-year last-minute volunteering for thanksgiving. Giving people last-minute places to volunteer at when other plans fall through is a real service.

  2. k mart tried with the k café: art shows, fast food, cold cuts.
unfortunately it did work. nothing was edible there.
perhaps one could stand a hot tea on a cold day.
the view was sensational, and nobody bothered you if you sat for a while.
and there were bathrooms up there.
another great view from a store was the short-lived coffee shop at the top of mays on east 14th street
