Otto's Tacos has its soft opening today at 141 Second Ave. between St. Mark's Place and East Ninth Street.
Per the Otto's website:
Otto's Tacos is an LA inspired grab and go taqueria focusing on freshly prepared tacos. We make all of our tortillas, salsas and marinades from scratch every day.
(Otto Cedeno told us more about his first restaurant back on Aug. 21.)
You can find Otto's menu here.

ReplyDeleteAnother (Soft) taco place?
ReplyDeletecrazy, you could eat for under $10! nothing wrong with having a lot of good taquerias in one place
ReplyDelete2 tacos and a side of rice and beans for $8.75. Sounds like dinner for me tonight.
ReplyDeleteDid they run out of taco shells and shut down until next Sunday?
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try this place. The food looks good.
ReplyDeleteI've noticed the number of taco places around here seems to have skyrocketed recently (though, admittedly, my gf and I have a bit of a Mexican food addiction so we're not exactly complaining), but I gotta say that for a soft opening these guys knocked it out of the park today. This place should do very well.
ReplyDeleteHad the Steak and Chicken taco last night. The steak was a bit on the chewy side but tasted great. The chicken was the real highlight. I had two, could have easily had 3 or 4.
ReplyDeleteYeh, hard to complain about too many good (and fairly priced) taco places! It's tortilla heaven between Otto, Diana, Sabor and Morales. Like them all for varying reasons. Had 3 Otto tacos last night ($10!). Very tasty. How about taco mailbag Grieve?
ReplyDeleteThis place was great. Affordable, fast, from scratch. What's not to love. BTW too many taco places??? How about too many pizza and burger places... Mexican food is great and when done well is my Fav! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteOtto's is really good.
ReplyDeleteTried this place yesterday. Have to say they were the best tasting tacos I've had in NYC. They are pretty small (4 bites and done). Would like a wee bit more, but that's my only complaint.
