This area + Murray Hill now look like an NFL fan store on Sundays with everyone walking around in their own local team jerseys with complete impunity. I mean is there any stronger indicator of the complexion of 2013 East Village than the diversity of sports jerseys (not to mention college tee-shirts) walking around on any given weekend? It's gotten so bad that I have become a Jets fan, just so I can feel some sense of being counter-culture around here.
OMG! For Real. I also bought a Jets T-shirt just so I can try to fit in at the neighborhood I was born and still live at. Though the neighborhood does not look the same anymore....
