They "exploded" a car there. Which wasn't an explosion but more of a car backfiring. They had a green screen - My question is why did they not film in a studio? Why block off an entire city block and forbid people living on that block to walk to their homes? Why film and inconvenience people if you were using a green screen anyway and could have easily filmed in a studio?

they were on 7th street too last night, lighting it all up unless that was ANOTHER movie....
Yep, I have the joy of living right next to the parking lot. They had lighting equipment strung up in our stairwell, hallway and fire escapes, and what was up with that giant light shining down from 7th street? Seriously, even with shades drawn at 11PM it was like it was high noon. At least the crew right outside was nice and moved when I took my dogs out...it was the snotty little PA's at the end of the block telling me to 'walk on another street' that got my blood boiling. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad to see production here as opposed to taking it to Toronto as a weak substitute for NYC, but DO NOT tell me I can't go home at the end of a long day because 'we are shooting a stunt.' Okay. Rant over. Carry on.
