Scenes from the Great East Village Slushathon

[First Avenue and East 13th Street]

As you may have noticed, it's really slushy and mushy out there ... East Village-based photographer Gudrun Georges captured some of the messy leftovers from yesterday's storm...

[Avenue A, we're gonna need a bigger boat]

Find more of her work here. And consider buying some waist waders.

  1. I can't wait to get outside and play in it!

  2. I feel like it's somehow not obvious to people who shovel that they should clear a path to the storm sewer. Those maws of slush at every corner would drain away easily with just a little extra effort. In most cases a storm drain is just a foot or two away.

    PSA: Shovel to the drain!
