Weekend are a great band. I loved seeing them for the first time at CMJ in 2012. The very handsome, very tall lead singer tried to dart in front of me to get a better stage view as a large crowd gathered to watch Wild Nothing; once he saw how petite I am, he didn't try to get in front of me but was very gentlemanly about it. I already liked the band, but his graciousness made me like him and, by proxy, them even more. From what I frequently heard in my childhood, everybody's working for the weekend, everybody needs a new romance.
