Everyone loves a parade

The scene from outside St. Brigid-St. Emeric on Avenue B and East Eighth Street today … a parade/march in honor of St. Martin de Porres (we think — this isn't really our strong suit)…

As a little boy many years ago I participated in this procession when it was held from the late Saint Ann's Church on 12th Street. Happy to see it surviving in the neighborhood.
