That guy in the first picture should fucking well not have a cat. I noticed him this morning. Usually I see him either panhandling or weaving in a semi circle half falling over with his eyes closed somewhere on St Marks. you can't take of yourself, why do you think you should have a pet.
ReplyDeleteInteresting that just a few weeks ago Donostia releases their narcissistic publicity video and they get a good review by Eater. Sounds like the budget for the PR team is more then the budget for the food, which according to the review "is reducible to a small collection of dried, pickled, and canned ingredients repeated in several small-plate formats." Another notable quote from the review "Ultimately, the menu at Donostia is more about the booze. That part of the menu is a didactic document . . ." Interestingly not exactly what they presented to CB 3 to secure their license, at that meeting they were all about the food, the food, the food, oh and yes the market, where we could all buy those wonderful products from the Basque region for our at-home tapas parties. Interestingly no mention of the market in this review. I guess I will keep searching and perhaps someday I will find it along with the remains of Mr. Hoffa.
ReplyDelete"didactic document"...did they really use that phrase?
ReplyDeleteIn that first picture, it's the cat I'm worried for.
ReplyDeleteI've sent emails to various animal welfare groups but for whatever reason they refuse to acknowledge or deal with the abused cats and dogs that these homeless addicts use as props when panhandling what else can be done or what else should I do as usual the nypd is useless in this matter if you can't take care of yourself don't have a pet I hope that cat is getting enough food and water
ReplyDeletefor what it's worth, a number of fairly large potholes on E 7th just east of B were patched up too.
ReplyDeletejust keeping everyone updated.
A crusty with a cat? What's next, clean clothes?
ReplyDelete"...I hope that cat is getting enough food and water..."
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is, there is cat food and water in the picture there. The cat is probably eating better that its owner, but how is its quality of life?
