Mystery surrounds faceless cartoon mural on East 12th Street



On East 12th Street near First Avenue.

Last week! (Above!)

Yesterday!



A source will only reveal that the mural will be of a "beloved bald cartoon character."

Well, Ziggy is too short… so it has to be Henry, right?

    Henry! I loved those comics when I was a kid. I still remember one of them:

    The artist broke his ankle jumping off the fence on to the sidewalk so it may be awhile until he finishes it. Also artist is known for using well known characters in his art but with a twist relying on 1st A to avoid copyright claims. Given it's not for commercial purposes, he can.

    Anyway, Metlife ownsthe rights to that mystery cartoon, so it could be more of an ad and billboard more so than a mural.
