Gena's Grill closed for construction until Jan. 10
We were sorry to see Gena's Grill closed the other day at 210 First Ave. near East 13th Street… fear not, though — the small restaurant that serves delicious and inexpensive Latin fare is closed until Jan. 10 for renovations… actual renovations…
Perhaps they will squeeze a seventh seat into that lunch counter?

I saw the gate down...but I'm glad to see they're not closing. This is a good, local place with character...and really good food and a nice coffee.
