Madman Espresso opening new location on University Place

Madman Espresso opened two years ago to the date at 319 E. 14th St. near Second Avenue.

Now the folks there tell us that they are opening a new location at 54 University Place (at 10th Street) next month. This will be their third location … in addition to one at West 35th Street that opened back in May.

  1. Went to the 14th St one for the first time a couple of weeks ago. My friend and I got lattes and the barista did the best latte art I've ever seen -- a very detailed kitty and an elaborate teddy bear. I realize at my advanced age I am WAY more charmed than I oughtta be by this.

But the coffee was also good and the shop was quiet so we could chat, so yay all around.

  5. Horrible, lazy kerning going on there in the logo typeface. I'm reading it as "Mad Mane Spresso."
