  7. To commenter who said if people had smart phones in previous generational tragedies, they'd have done same shameless smiling selfies: with all due respect, I don't agree with that.
    Yes, some of the selfies can be excused because the takers are unconscious, not really their fault, they're bombarded with how cool that is every lousy 5 minutes of their character-less life. However, I believe that ancestors of the 60's generation that produced these idiots, had more respect for life, and the possible loss of it.
    In NYC, many of the tourists have NO idea what they're photographing, their total focal, visual attention is on the smart phone and being COOL in NYC.
