I saw an animal control van near the fire site yesterday around 6pm. If the owner reads this, you should definitely call the ACC! I think they were collecting the rescued pets.

Hi Anonymous at 5:31, I called the number on the poster in the photo and shared your information on ACC with them. The gentleman said they had a lot of leads. Here's hoping there will be a happy ending.
Thank you for sharing something about the missing or potential fatalities of beloved pets. The media never mentions this - and it is so devastating for their owners. To me, at least, their survival is just as important as human. I hope there are some good outcomes for some of it.
I'm so glad the ACC is doing that, thanks 5:31. To lose one's animal companion(s) is grief of the highest order. I hope we get some happy ending reunions soon.
Thanks so much for sharing this! This my friends' beloved cat. And thanks to my friend's friends for trying to find Sago while his guardians are away and can't get back. Impossible not to love him. He's a bit snorty when he breathes, his head tilts a bit to the left and that left ear is a bit floppy from an infection. I have a more recent photo of him. Thanks again!
Reblfox, Just saw this on Facebook. FindSugarNYC shared a pic of the lost cat flyer. In the comments, somebody posted this video, questioning whether this might be Sago: https://www.facebook.com/jean.fenton.94/posts/10203691057383657
My thoughts have also been with the animals. I am presuming many have perished. Makes me sick to imagine loosing my cat to an explosion or fire :( Simply tragic.

Good luck!
I came across this and tweeted it. I live down the street and have a cat too. I hope this cat is found. This is heartbreaking :(
ReplyDeleteThis breaks my heart.

ReplyDeleteI also just saw 2 ACC vans outside of the help center at the Tompkins Sq Library; perhaps people can get some help for their pets there.
