Key Food is out of flowers

Raymond and company apparently did a brisk business selling flowers Sunday in honor of Bono's birthday Mother's Day...

So if you want flowers, then maybe you can come back here on Avenue A and East Fourth Street tonight at 11...

  1. Ha! I passed by there at 4AM on my way home from Remedy Diner. They were clearing all the flowers off the shelves. Busted! (I am a proud practitioner of our sloan "the city that never sleeps")

  2. I doubt that's the reason. It's probably a delivery issue.

  3. They should be ready for a day like this, these are the times they make most of there money.. one would think the would make sure they had a delivery coming the next day or order extra. Seems strange.

Now it's all covered with flowers

  5. Key Food is so incompetent. The Korean deli by me had tons and tons of flowers as late as Sunday morning (3-4am.)

  6. Key Food is incompetent because they ran out of flowers? Man your standards are high. Screw flowers. Buy plants.

  7. How about just buying a mop, turning it upside down, and cunningly decorating it as flowers?

If you can't be passive-aggressive with your mother, and especially on Mother's Day, you weren't raised right.

  8. Oh good, I walked by there on the way to the gym yesterday and ALL I could think of when I read that sign was the Talking Heads song. Glad I'm not the only one.
