Apparently someone made off this evening with the Super Mario statue outside VideoGamesNewYork at 202 E. Sixth St. at Cooper Square...

We don't know too much else about this at the moment. The statue was last seen wearing a long-sleeved red shirt and royal blue overalls and a red hat with an "M" in the middle. He is known for his jumping and stomping powers.

ReplyDeleteThank goodness for the Grievestrator! I see him!
ReplyDeleteThe Mario-naping supersedes the phone-snatcher as "Public Enemy Number One." This calls for a Police guard tower on E. Sixth at Cooper Square. Children beating spackling-compound buckets should protest the Mario-naping. DeBlasio will be around in a day or two to display his concern.
ReplyDeleteI love that this damn store is there and its classic awning.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Mario got tired of all the noise and dirt from the construction and went to a quieter, cleaner place on vacation. Check his Uber account to see where he went.
ReplyDeleteWhat maroon would steal Mario ? Where's the ransom note ?
ReplyDeletePIX11 News covered this last night - with no hat tip to EVG, of course.
