Did you hear a country music jamboree Saturday night from an East 13th Street rooftop?

Did you happen to hear about (or hear yourself) the apparent country music jamboree that took place on a rooftop on 13th Street between 1st Avenue and Avenue A Saturday night around midnight?

It was all-out gawdawful, but I couldn't report it as I couldn't pinpoint the address. It was a LOUD amplified country singer who was really, really bad. People cheered after about the first 10 songs and then no more woo-ing, yet he continued. I felt bad for who ever though they were having a an awesome party. It really sucked! And it could be heard 2-3 blocks away.

    Yeh, I heard it. Besides being intrusive and annoying that a neighbor was playing amplified music on the roof, the music was terrible. I was up on my roof on East 12th Street and the "performance" was wretchedly bad. We couldn't pinpoint where the party was, seemed like a roof midblock on the south side of E13 a bit closer to First Ave than to Ave A.

    Probably that shite that passes for "country" these days, with the singer over-drawling and mangling the melody like a retard? It's even worse than what passes for hip-hop these days.

    Hey negative nelly, I bet the only reason you're complaining is because your invite was lost in the mail....it was a great party with an amazing group of people. The band was great and the energy was contagious! Only happy, positive people were there. No cranks allowed. It must be difficult to know so much about so little!

    Hahahahahahaaa, someone is complaining about a roof top party in the Summer on a Saturday night with an acoustic jam ENDING at midnight in the East Village... Too funny!!! An acoustic duo is hardly a Jamboree, after 10 songs of wooing, pretty much says all enjoyed the awesome show they put on. My annual rooftop bashes are always fun and open to all, except you ninny whiners! Next year, I'll have a metal band start at midnight. How do ya like them apples, you sour grape keyboard complainer
