Halloween reminders

If you're wearing a mask and want to enter the 7-Eleven on Avenue A and East 11th Street, then you will need to remove it before heading into the store, per the sign.

If you absolutely MUST keep the mask on while shopping at 7-Eleven, then head to the locations on East 14th Street near Second Avenue or the Bowery near East Third Street. Neither of those stores have the mask-off mandate.

  1. Yes, I followed the rules. I tore off my mask so as not to lose one of her tears and she did not run away! And she did not die! She remained alive, weeping over me, weeping with me. We cried together! I have tasted all the happiness 7-11 can offer. And the Slurpee is not bad either!

  2. To their credit, they do give out real candy, not the after-dinner mints and sourballs favored by nearly every other East Village establishment.

  3. I wish they didn't dump month old nachos in my bag of candy.

  4. The Santander bank down on Broadway below Canal demands that you remove your hat and mask every day of the year, which makes this sound like a good deal—especially if they give you candy.

  5. Innocence is lost. That simple sign says a ton about life in 2015.

  6. Yeah but I bet they let all those drunk Santas come inside and buy beers every year during SantaCon. How do you card someone wearing a white beard and a red Santa hat? You don't.

  7. The only way I would ever enter a 7-11 is with a mask on.
