Thanksgiving dining deal season underway

[Photo yesterday by EVG Dining Correspondent Steven]

We're just five weeks out now to Thanksgiving … and Dallas BBQ on Second Avenue at St. Mark's Place just might be the first local restaurant to fire up its Thanksgiving Dinner Specials… the Thanksgiving Dinner Banner arrived on the sidewalk yesterday…

Looks like a good deal for $15.99, though, strangely, nothing will be BBQ'd.

  1. Dallas BBQ is local?

Looking forward to Odessa's Thanksgiving special.

  2. Of course Dallas BBQ is local. Where do you think it is? Midtown?

  3. So DF Mavens across the street, or the Starbucks on 2nd ave. and 9th street or the iHop on 14th St also local are also local? Ok.

Does it really matter if that's local or not since most of you will be back in mommy and daddy's lair in not local Podunk come the holidays.

But now that you've mentioned it, yes, that Dallas BBQ is in Midtown... Midtown South, for you real estate agents, newbies and tech bros. Happy Thanksgiving!

  5. Its that time of year. Please remember the Bowery Mission and NYC Rescue Mission this time of year. If you wish to volunteer please do so AFTER the holidays. People forget about the missions after New Years. If you can please donate cans and if you can please volunteer in 2016. Thanks to all those who help. You literally keep people alive and give them a reason for living. Sometimes a smile and kind word from a volunteer can really impact someone.

  8. @ 4:33 PM You must be old.
Pumpkin pie spice is too complex for the toddlers. It has to be chocochoco-chocolate-chunk bubblegum fro-yo cupcake (yeah, yeah, served in a hoof), with rainbow sprinkles on top.
    Otherwise it's "ewwww!"

  9. Waiting for the pumpkin spice condoms and tampons to become real. Surely the new EVers and transients would line-up and eat.that.up, literally.
