It was nice of the people at the Classic Stage Company to take this cat in. The poor kitty must be from the neighborhood. You would think the owner would put up fliers.
If I may, I believe 5:03's comment is in reference to Sugar, the 6-year-old Amstaff/pit bull who went missing earlier this year. Sugar's owner, an EV resident, offered a $5,000 reward for his return. I'm not sure whatever happened with this story and the dog walker.
For the sake of this poor kitty, please let's not conjure the Sugar nutjobs so they can infect yet another thread with their special brand of fucking crazy. Thanks.
Congrats on your new cat, Classic Stage! He is very adorable. >^..^<
Sugar "nutjobs"? Why, because they were frantic to get back a beloved family member they'd entrusted to a paid employee, who seems to have done something with the dog but refuses to say what, leaving Sugar's peeps with the endless agony of never knowing what happened to their puppy, but free to imagine the worst? Wow, way to have compassion, Anon. 1:13.
The previous Sugar thread nutjobs are clearly not people who knew and loved the pup. Those threads were unhinged 100+-comment monstrosities of jobber-jabber and speculation about mental wards and PCP by people who seemed to have marginal connections either to Sugar's mom or the dog sitter, who were doing neither party any favors as friends and supporters. Why don't YOU, Gojira, have some compassion for this lost cat and other animals by leaving the insanity of the Sugar story out of their posts.
I *do* have compassion for this kitty, Anon. 10:51, and *I* was not the one to first reference Sugar; Anon. 5:03 (who may even be you) was. I have four rescue cats at home and volunteer at an animal shelter, where I walk dogs, empty litter boxes, and play with and brush pups and kitties. What do *you* do to help?

ReplyDeleteLook at that cute fatty.
ReplyDeleteIs there a $5000 reward for its return?
ReplyDeleteExplain how that is funny Anon 5:03?
ReplyDelete9:32pm:
ReplyDeleteYou're not from the EV are you?
I'm from the EV and I don't get the joke either.
ReplyDeleteI don't get 5:03's joke. Classic Stage has the cat and wants to return it to its owner for nothing.
ReplyDeleteTo judge from the expression on its face, that cat does not want to be returned.

ReplyDeleteVery beautiful cat. I hope they can keep him if no one comes forward.

Yeah, I get the reference to Sugar. But I don't see the humor. If my dog was missing, I would also offer thousands for its safe return.
ReplyDeleteEverything 4:46 said -- I concur, that "humor" fell flat for me.

ReplyDeleteDefending myself to the Annie Wilkes of EVG goes unpublished. Why am I even surprised.
