TBT — Purple Rain on Avenue A

From June 9, 2014... when Prince was featured on the roll-down gate at Mikey Likes It, 199 Avenue A near East 12th Street.

The mural, created by Bronx-based artist Andre Trenier, was in honor of the shop's Flavor of the Month: Purple Rain (double blueberry ice cream with cheesecake chunks).

And in case you haven't heard the news... Prince has died. He was 57.

  1. Missing you Prince, and Maurice White, and David Bowie and Glen Frey...so many great musicians have left us this year. Stevie Wonder was on CNN tonight talking about Prince, he could barley hold back the tears...

  2. I loved the way there was always girls on guitar in his bands. I loved the music and sexuality. Great artist. I really wish the media will let the man rest. RIP baby.
