Tomorrow on Earth Day, you can (legally) ride a Citi Bike for free

Find the details here.

Per Gothamist: "Signing up is simple and doesn't appear to have any strings attached: enter your email and name on Citi Bike's website (you can opt out of promotional mailings), and you'll be sent a code to redeem a 24-hour access pass that'll be valid at any of Citi Bike's stations..."

It's also an (optional) Car-Free Earth Day.

  1. So those of us who pay for CitiBike are getting screwed even more since the availability of a bike in the neighborhood after 9:30am is already close to zero.

  2. Also, what good is a "free" 24-hour pass when you have to check into an electronic stall every 30 minutes or you get charged a penalty? This sounds like a clusterfuck for anyone who isn't familiar with their system. Plan on tons of overcharges, not to mention the $100+ dollars they "freeze" on your account for the privilege. No thanks.

  4. Be positive. This a nice thing...

    And the propaganda continues.

If there ever was a Zombie apocalypse, would rather be chased on foot and eventually fail and have my brains be eaten than to ever ride this greenwashing and brainwashing(and eating) alternate mode of public transportation blessed machine (for the tourists and suffering from affluenza).

    Embrace change.
