[Updated] Found cat on East 8th Street
An EVG reader found this apparently lost (and hungry) cat in the Firemen's Memorial Garden on Eighth Street between Avenue C and Avenue D.
You can contact us via the EV Grieve email if this is your cat...

Cute little thumbs
ReplyDeletethat's not my cat but I will gladly take him if he needs a home!
ReplyDeleteLots of little buggers gettin' out these days. Who can blame them? Spring has sprung and it's time to go out and find some love, or at least assuage a little lust.
ReplyDeleteI hate reading these stories!
ReplyDeleteIf this cat isn't claimed by a (determined) certain time best to take it to the ASPCA then 4:17pm can adopt it after vetting if its owner doesn't claim him by a certain amount of time.
ReplyDeleteThey may be microchipped. A vet could check. I know my kids have chips that would identify them to the rescue organization that adopted them to me.
ReplyDeleteThese stories are very upsetting. Kitties should not be trying to run out of the house looking for spring flings -- spay and neuter your pets please!
Put screens in your windows if you have a cat. Check your door when you leave or come home, it's easy for a curious cat to slip out.
ReplyDeleteThere were some signs for a missing cat on 8th Street between B and C a few days ago that may be a match for the found cat. I'm out of town so I can't check but I'm pretty sure one of the signs was at 8th & B.
