Con Ed's helpful scratch-n-sniff mailer
An EVG reader came home today to find the above postcard in the mail... a safety message from Con Ed that includes a peel-and-sniff feature to help people detect the smell of gas (hint: rotten eggs) in their homes.
Per the reader: "I am marveling at the very potent scent it contains!"
Find more information at the Con Ed website on what to do if you detect a gas leak.

It's like Odorama!

ReplyDeleteWe got one too. Unfortunately we live in a building on Avenue A that still has no gas following the explosion on Second Ave last year, so the warning is somewhat ironic.
ReplyDeleteLive on 14th. Haven't had gas for 9 months following a fire in the ground floor laundromat. Couldn't remember what it smells like...thanks con-Ed for the scratch and sniff reminder!
