I was unaware of this day. Thank you NYC Parks!

Well, then let's repost some squirrel shots from the vast EVG Squirrel Photo Vault ...

  4. I have a chubby buddy who comes and sits on my fire escape, and when he sees me in the bedroom he actualy knocks on my window to ask for nuts, cos he knows I keep a big bag of them for him.

  5. @Gojira I think someone stole your idea! There's a new restaurant on St Mark's called Nut Bud. Cash strapped millennials can enjoy a free peanut butter sandwich so long as they dress like a squirrel and tap on the window. You should sue!!!

  7. @NOTORIOUS-Shhh,that's my restaurant! Where do you think I got the idea?!? It was originally supposed to be called Nut Bag, but I was afraid folks might think it was a Donald Trump tribute!

  9. You've got to be kidding me. Maybe squirrels are cute when they're cavorting with little Bambi in the woods, but NYC squirrels are psycho. Every year it's a fight to keep a few plants in my window box from being torn out I now cover all bare dirt with rocks, and still the squirrels attack. I hate squirrels.

  10. @Gojira Oops! Sorry about that. Re: the name. Good idea! I was going to call my fro-yo shop The Orange Cancer but like you I was afraid people would think Trump and not what my product was doing to their insides.

  11. Ugh please don't feed squirrels, that is gross. Seeing European tourists posing for pictures with them like that is the closest they've been to a wild animal, it's just sad.

  12. There's something fundamentally wrong with people that have such a strong disdain for those fuzzy, white-bellied cuties.

  13. Screw you 8:23am.

The real scourge of Tompkins Square Park are the crusties who pretend to be wild animals from May until the daily temperature settles below 60 F.

    Feed the squirrels!

  14. Forget about who is feeding the squirrels, who is feeding all of these people? They're everywhere! And lately they have been getting very aggressive. I hear they have a new leader who is an absolute maniac. And they will eat just about anything, including each other. They are one of the more violent species that will eat any other animal, no matter how cute it is. They also engage in canniblism, and one of them around here used to eat other humans that he met in the park. Please, whoever you are, stop feeding the people. They are a real nuisance and all they do is breed like rabbits, trample all over the grass, and let their dogs urinate on the tress. Please don't feed the humans, they are such animals!
