New bakery on the way for the Whole Foods Market® Bowery

Renovations continue at the Whole Foods Market® Bowery ... where there's a temporary entrance to the store on Houston and the Bowery... the reason — the arrival in March of a bakery on the premises...

The current bakery seems rather scattered back by the salad bar region.

Unrelated, avocados are on sale five for $5.

  4. They also seem to be making some significant changes to the prepared foods section. Carving station gone, much fewer options behind counter. Any idea what's going in?

  5. The avocados at WF on sale usually are stringy as hell. No Thank-you!

  6. Get the mesh bag of 5 Haas avocados they are selling at Trader Joe's and also at other supermarkets, they are a little smaller but they are delicious.

  7. I used to go to WF almost every day but I stopped when they started relentlessly obstructing my path with the rush-hour sample tables directly in the aisles, all over - specifically designed to get in your way. You really want to improve, WF? Rethink your strategy of annoying your customers who just want to buy stuff and get out - and who can easily go elsewhere. And I agree with whoever said their avocados are often stringy.
