  2. When I was a kid the Sno-balls were a quarter and they were bigger. And so was I. I could't get enough of them. I was the Hostess Cake Boy!

  3. The Sno-Balls weren't bigger, you were smaller so they looked bigger : )

Is it my imagination or were the original Sno-Balls pink? All the candy stores and delis down by me sold were pink ones.

  4. I remember Sno-Balls being sold in a two pack with one pink one and one white one. I think they were bigger...or maybe my hands were smaller.

  5. I remember the pink Sno-Balls too, with the white coconut flakes, right next to the Hostess Cupcakes with the yellow frosting, and the 2 Pack of chocolate Yodels. next to the rack of yummy lemon, apple and blueberry Table Talk pies. It's no wonder that kids in the neighborhood were so fat.

  7. Hostess cakes were bigger back then, ever since they restarted, including drakes, got smaller, probably due to honor worker contracts or the higher minimum wage. A good example is the chocodile, it use to be one cake but now it's 2 bite size pieces

remember suzi q's? those things were massive.

  8. Hey 7:56pm I played sports after homework all the time and there's thing called a high metabolism so spare us your scolding.

Sorry we didn't have artisinal, organic, gluten-free, fair trade, vegan, handmade, blah blah blah back in 1978-83. Besides that kids had diabetes far less before the '90s than the '90s on.

"Stop poisoning your bodies" says someone who I bet NEVER posts that materal/paternal nonsense in comments about a new bar opening. Last I checked alcohol is far more dangerous to the body than Sno-Balls. And I can't think of anyone who died of liver cancer, a heartattack, a stroke, a car crash, or a beating from eating SnoBalls.

  9. Suzy Qs were the best of the Hostess cakes after the Chocodile, not Twinkies.
