As previously reported, Björn Holm, a sous chef and the head of catering at Dean & Deluca’s store on Broadway and Prince, is opening a quick-serve restaurant called Fat Cat Kitchen on 14th Street ... and that signage arrived Friday at No. 223 between Second Avenue and Third Avenue.
Fat Cat will serve sandwiches, salads, soups and baked goods. They have an Instagram account showing some potential menu items...
Fat Cat is expected to open this spring.
The storefront was last home to a psychic.
I'd like to see some vegan offerings there, but I'm not holding my breath; fortunately that stretch of 14th street has plenty of places to grab a vegan lunch.
ReplyDeleteI think we're officially throwing bad money after bad at this point.
ReplyDeletePlaces like this need to execute being better quality and care of attention than what you could make at home or a pickup from a bodega, but not be all in $17 for a sandwich + chips/side. I fear this place will teeter towards the latter, but hope it can take a crack at being day-to-day affordable.
