Summer Streets

Second Avenue at Fourth Street...

  1. This was one of the most crowded Summer Streets yet. It was fun but there was one big problem. There were so many toddlers learning to ride a bike I almost called ACS to report the parents. One kid was begging his mommy to stop riding at Union Square but she forced him to ride on. Another little girl couldn't get up the hill at 34th street but her mom showed no sympathy. It was like bicycle boot camp for kids today. I'm sure there were more than a few unnecessary accidents. Also the CitiBikers and Spandex Ballet guys didn't help maters either. If you think it's bad no ait until they expand the event to the Upper West Side where there are buckets of bike riding toddlers.
