A chance to bless your pets

This just in this evening...

The annual Blessing of Animals will take place on Saturday September 30th at 1 p.m. in front of Immaculate Conception Church, 414 E. 14th Street near First Avenue. All are welcome!

Per the flyer, the pets do not have to be Catholic to be blessed...

  1. It was very nice, a sweet thing for the church to do.

  2. Dog Owner: Forgive my dog, Father, for he has sinned but can't come into the booth to tell you because he's a dog thus can't speak in words, only barks, ruffs, howls, yowls, and growls.

Father Flanagan: Yes my son - go on.

DO: He bit one neighbor in the ass, took a shit in front of another neighbor's front door, peed on a third neighbor's gardenias, and farted constantly in the new dog cafe on 12th and A.

FF: That's alot for you to not tell me what the dog did for the dog, son. And please, no need for profanity here.

DO: I know and I'm sorry for the choice of words, Father.

FF: Three Hail Marys, seven Our Fathers, and feed your dog some Blue Buffalo so he doesn't bite, defecate, urinate, or flatulate so much.
