  4. That's not a wizard's wand. We used to make those things when I was a kid.
    You cut the tops and bottoms off of seven beer/soda cans (except for one
    that you leave the bottom on), tape them together into a tube, with the
    bottom-left-on can at one end, poke a hole in the center of the left-on
    bottom, squirt lighter fluid into the hole, swing the tube around a few
    times to distribute and lighter fluid and convert a good part of it to
    gas, then hold a match to the hole you squirted the lighter fluid into,
    which causes a loudish explosion out the open end, similar to a shotgun.

    Great fun!
