Happy Valentine's Day from Rite Aid on 1st Avenue

If you're stuck on a last-minute Valentine's Day gift, the Rite Aid on First Avenue at Fifth Street has an outside-the-box suggestion — Tide pods.

Thanks to Marjorie Ingall for the photo!

  2. I actually like sad displays like this because they remind us all that stuff like Valentine's Day is little more than crass consumer event.

  3. In these chaotic times it's reassuring to see that our great state is leading the fight against corporate greed and requiring these pods to be packaged sensibly! Trump and his corporate cronies need to be stopped and we are the ones to do it! Resist!

  4. LOL @ the Tide pods being in plastic containers which look like ones bubblegum is sold in.

  5. I agree with 108, Im proud to live in a state with the guts to demand common sense packaging laws. People are dying and we need to fight back against fascism whereever it happens, the government/our culture/our products/whereever! Wake up people the revolution is now! Love trumps hate!!

  6. Common sense package laws are the answer to this problem but I think it would be too little too late, its not just soaps. The problem is too far gone. Now is the time to strike at the core of the issue: the Republicapitalist establishment! I support common sense package legislation by all means but we should not forget the root issue: capitalist control of our government!

  7. Really? This is what people are upset about? I think too many have too much time on their hands to address such a silly non-issue.

Capitalist greed trys to poison us through our everyday household products and that is a non-issue? I hope you get woke soon cuz this is just the beggining and we need all the allys we can get!
