Sinkhole alert outside the Cooper Station Post Office
An EVG reader shared this photo from the Cooper Station Post Office on Fourth Avenue at 11th Street... Not sure how long this has been this way... regardless, something to keep an eye on if the line happens to go out the door...

Been that way for more than a couple weeks.
ReplyDeletePerhaps the manager of this post office, while he / she works on repairing this sinkhole could also work on making sure that postal pick up times are on all the boxes in his jurisdiction?
ReplyDeleteAn announcement from the usps: Your mail is being not delivered as an excuse that can and will be milked has appeared which of corse means the usps can peace out(more than normal) on doing work for a few days. Sorry for any inconvenience.
ReplyDeleteEasy fix, stuff some sacks filled with mail intended for the neighborhood then pave over, problem solved.
ReplyDeleteAh, so the place really is run by the fiends of hell.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, I find the staff at this PO to be courteous, efficient, and not to be confused with the staff at the old PO on 14th street between First and Avenue A.
ReplyDeleteI'm not quite sure who is responsible for the endless fuck ups with the mail delivery to our building (10009 zip, East 11th Between A and B) but I know that when I have to retrieve a package, I am directed to the 14th Street PO and, regrettably, not to this lovely old building on 11th and 4th Ave.
