For a limited time only, catch the J/Z on 9th and C

[Thanks to Alexandra Story for this photo!]

Thanks to the magic of TV pilot making, there's now a J/Z stop for the Bowery on Ninth Street at Avenue C...

And across the Avenue, A & C Kitchen is standing in for the Avenue C Deli (signs include a double cheeseburger for $6.50 and Molten Velvet in concert)...

As previously mentioned, crews for the CBS pilot "God Friended Me" will be filming along Avenue C and side streets today and tomorrow.

Updated:

Here's one more shot, via Salim, showing the arrival of the J/Z stop this morning...

Updated 3/13:

EVG reader Peter D. shared this photo from today... that J/Z stop looking rather lonely there on the corner...

  1. What the hell? Just shoot at the actual one on Delancey. There's more room there too. Something stinks about this production and surely the show. Is it to continue to bring up overpriced speculative rental interest in that area to live near a network t.v. shoot?

  2. It's easier and less expensive to create a mock subway entrance than to clear everybody out of an existing one. This ruins way less days.

  3. Love mock subway entrances. It’s one of the BEST ways to show your a New Yorker by smiling sheepishly to yourself when watching! What’s even funnier is when people use Google Maps to find the locations and come all the way here to discover not is all what it seems. We were at Josies on 6th and these Russian tourists had come (ahem, from Russia) to hang at Josies from Daredevil. We had to tell them 1. Josies would have been in Hell’s Kitchen 2. It was actually filmed at Turkey Nest In Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Our Josies is Josies in name only. But we told them of all those choices, they made the best one!

Oh, I see. As if a tv shoot could worsen an already establish slow commute.
