Icon Realty shaves $4 million off of its 9th Street townhouse ask

Icon Realty's 7-level townhouse at 327 E. Ninth St. has been on the market these last six months as both a $30,000 rental and a $17-million whole-building buy.

Icon recently dropped the ask from $17 million to $13 million.

And to refresh your memory about the design and amenities... here's Streeteasy:

  1. with all the great looking Beaux Arts buildings in Manhattan to draw inspiration from the architects created an almost parody in Neo-classicism instead. I consider this building the EV's first McMansion.

Previous Commenter: No one is trained to replicate good Bueax-Arts buildings anymore--and even if they were, no one wants to pay for what it actually cost (coming from a jaded traditonal architect)! It's ironic that one of the architects names is Stern--the architectural equivalent to Chef-Boyardee. First McMansion and likely the first building to have likely arrived in a single shipping container from China. Barf.

  3. Even if it was a beautiful building or a great deal the tenant/buyer is doing business with a disgusting Landlord, Icon Realty, who would do anything to make a dollar and has no respect for anyone.

    Even after being investigated and fined for harassment by the Attoney General. Icon continues to employ the same sub-human, above the law, tactics in NYC to force rent regulated tenants out.


    Keep in my it is Icon and get that building inspected and, above all, know who you are getting in bed with!!!!!
